Dr. Kelsey Cochrane and her team receive the SHRF 2024 Excellence Award
Sept 26, 2024Kelsey and her dedicated team have recently learned that they will receive the SHRF 2024 Excellence Award for the 2023-24 Solutions Innovation Grant at the SHRF Annual Santé Awards. This project, co-funded by the Jim Pattison Children’s Hospital Foundation (JPCHF), is leading a study focused on the acceptability and feasibility of providing donor breastmilk to babies born to individuals living with HIV.

Seed Fund grant awarded to Dr. Kelsey Cochrane
April 11, 2024The Cochrane lab and More Milk Sooner are awarded $5000 from the College of Pharmacy and Nutrition to conduct a retrospective case-control chart review to evaluate whether prenatal milk expression is associated with improved breastfeeding success and birth outcomes.

2024 Canadian Nutrition Society PhD Dissertation Award
March 5, 2024Dr. Cochrane is awarded the 2024 Canadian Nutrition Society PhD Dissertation Award for Outstanding Contribution to the Degree of PhD. She will be recognized at the 2024 CNS-SCN Annual conference in Edmonton, AB, and will host an online webinar Tuesday May 28 th at 1:00 PM EST, entitled: “Launching a career in perinatal nutrition research: learnings and tips”.
